In Maeil Business Newspaper dated 24 October 2012, there is an article titled “POSCO eliminated from 1 trillion club” saying that “Reduction of investment and saving costs caused lesser damage than competitors”, even though the decline of the global steel price, operating profit was stable by focusing on high-value-added products. Nevertheless, they keep tightening management because the global economic outlook is dark. 투자와 생산을 줄이고 인력을 감축하는 긴축경영은 이익을 높여 위험성을 줄일 수 있겠지만 그로 인해 발생되는 생산성 감소와 실업자 문제는 경제 불황을 더욱 깊게 만드는 원인이 됩니다.
경영이 어려운 기업이 긴축경영을 하는 대신 7일경영을 도입하여 사업장의 규모를 절반으로 줄이고 직원의 50%를 퇴직시키는 대신 지원자를 대상으로 3일 근무인력으로 변환하여 4+3근무를 진행하면 공간사용의 원가를 절반으로 줄이면서도 투자와 생산을 늘릴 수 있어 생산 효율이 50% 이상 향상됩니다. 또한 실업자를 만들지 않고 남는 공간을 다른 곳에 활용할 수 있어 경제 불황을 이겨내는데 큰 도움이 될 것입니다.
