While reviewing the luxury consumption increased in 30’s, I can expect the economic difficulties more and more in the future. The problem is that there are many people who spend their money giving up to save the seed money for the house or other long term economic planning rather than the high earners’ luxury consumption. Local leakage and the savings rate decrease due to this kind of consumption pattern is the problem in case of prolonged recession.
