Q62. 주4·3근무 7일 경제를 만들게 된 동기는 어디에 있나요?
처음 4·3근무를 만들어 냈을 때에는 정책이나 사회문제 해결을 생각하는 등의 거창한 동기는 아니었습니다. 시작은 나눔과 공유의 실천이었고 직원들에게 하루의 휴식을 선물하자는 취지였으며 주 3일만 운영하는 사회적 기업을 설립하여 일자리를 지원하자는 것이었습니다.
이렇게 해서 탄생한 4·3경영제 아이디어를 조금씩 확장해 보니 기존의 5일 근무제로 인한 다양한 사회문제를 동시에 해결하는 경제혁신 정책으로 탄생할 수 있음을 깨달았습니다. 그래서 저희 회사가 가장먼저 실천할 뿐입니다.

I didn’t have any tremendous motivation including thinking about the policies or other solutions for the social problems when I had an idea about 4·3 day work system at first. I just intended to introduce the sharing and to offer the one more holiday to the workers and to let them know there are lots of potential jobs in the social enterprise. And I realized that the various social and economic problems caused by the 5-day workweek can be settled at the same time when we start working 4 days or 3 days a week. So, we are starting firstly.
